AI lesson plan generator that plans for your class, not an average one
Type the topic, pick the class, point at the textbook pages. TeachBuddy AI writes the plan in your school template, differentiated for the learners you actually have, and shows you what it was built from.
What makes this different from asking a chatbot
A chatbot writes a fast plan for a class it has never met. TeachBuddy AI starts from a classroom profile: class size, abilities, languages, special educational needs, and the way you like to teach. The plan comes out shaped for those learners, with support, core and challenge paths named.
The plan is built from your sources, not from the model memory: a textbook chapter from your resource library with a page range, a scheme of work for pacing, an upload or a web link. Every plan records what it was built from, so a department head can see the pages it covers.
- Your own lesson plan format: upload a sample plan once and every generated plan copies its layout.
- Planning rules that stick: standing instructions for all plans, or for one class only.
- Objectives suggested from the topic and the pages, editable before anything is generated.
- A check before the lesson: the planner tells you when the named pages do not cover the topic.
- One click from the plan to slides, a worksheet, a quiz or a question set for the same lesson.
Plan one lesson or a whole series
The same planner has two modes. "One lesson" gives you a single plan. "A series" takes a list of topics or a unit and plans the sequence, so a term of lessons stays consistent in format and pacing.
Teachers whose school uses TeachBuddy AI can submit a lesson for review. The plan is checked against the school policy and checklist first, so the reviewer sees flags with the fix suggested, not a blank plan.
How it works
- Pick the class. The planner shows what TeachBuddy AI already knows about it, or creates the class profile for you.
- Type the topic and the lesson duration.
- Add sources: a book from your library with the pages, a scheme of work, an upload or a link. Or none, if the topic is enough.
- Review the suggested objectives, press Generate, and edit the plan in place.
- Generate slides, a worksheet or a quiz from the finished plan, or download it as Word or PDF.
Questions teachers ask
Is the AI lesson plan generator free?
Yes. Every teacher gets a free account that includes the lesson planner. Paid plans add higher monthly limits and extras such as automations and sharing.
Can it use my own textbook?
Yes. Upload the textbook or a chapter to your resource library (PDF, Word, PowerPoint, photos or scans). Scanned books are read page by page, so you can name the exact pages a lesson should cover.
Can it follow my school lesson plan template?
Yes. Upload one sample plan in your layout under "How I plan". Every plan you generate or save afterwards copies that layout. Only the layout is copied, never the content.
Which curricula does it support?
Any curriculum you teach, because the plan is built from your own materials and class profile. Summative papers can also be calibrated to a named standard such as Cambridge, IB, the UK National Curriculum, US Common Core, Pearson Edexcel or the Australian Curriculum.
Does it work in languages other than English?
Yes. The plan language is a setting on the planner, prefilled from the class profile. The interface is available in English and Arabic.
What happens after the lesson?
A short reflection after teaching becomes learner notes, and the next plan for that class reads them. Quizzes, worksheets and class voice answers from your students feed the same loop.
