TEACHBUDDY.AI PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy outlines the types of information that TeachBuddy.ai Inc. ("us", "we", or "our") gathers when you use our Service, as well as our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
1.1. We collect information from you when you register on our site, subscribe to a plan, and interact with our Service. This may include your name, email address, payment information (processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers), and the content you create or upload while using our Service (for example lesson plans, quizzes, documents, images and files you add to your library).
1.2. Sign in with Google. If you sign in with your Google account, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us so that we can create and recognise your account. We do not receive your Google password.
1.3. Student information in Spaces. When a teacher uses Spaces, students may enter a name and submit work, answers and chat messages. This information is collected on behalf of the teacher, is visible only to that teacher and the student, and is used solely to provide the activity the teacher set up. We do not use student information for advertising or to build profiles. Teachers are responsible for obtaining any consent their school or local law requires before inviting students, including for students under the age of digital consent in their country.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
2.1. The information we collect from you may be used to personalize your experience, improve our website, improve customer service, process transactions, and send periodic emails, among other uses.
2.2. Content you provide (such as a topic, a classroom description or an uploaded document) is used to generate the materials you ask for and, where you choose to save it, to personalise later results for you.
3. PROTECTION OF YOUR INFORMATION
3.1. We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on access-controlled servers.
4. USE OF COOKIES
4.1. We use cookies to understand and save your preferences for future visits and compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction.
5. SHARING OF YOUR INFORMATION
5.1. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.
6. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
6.1. Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third-party products or services on our website. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. Therefore, we have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites.
6.2. Artificial intelligence providers. To generate materials, the text, files and images you submit for a request are sent to AI service providers, currently Google (Gemini models) and OpenAI, who process them to return a result and to screen for misuse. These providers act on our instructions and do not use your content to train their public models under the agreements we hold with them. Please do not include information in a request that you are not permitted to share.
6.3. Google Drive. If you connect Google Drive under Account → Integrations, TeachBuddy.ai creates a "TeachBuddy AI" folder in your Drive and can only create, read and update files inside folders it created itself. It cannot see or access your other Drive files. You can disconnect at any time from the same page or from your Google account permissions, which revokes our access immediately. Files already saved in your Drive remain yours.
6.4. Google user data. TeachBuddy.ai's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide the features described above, is never sold, is never used for advertising, and is not read by humans except with your consent, for security purposes, or where required by law.
7. YOUR RIGHTS, RETENTION AND DELETION
7.1. You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You also have the right to withdraw consent and limit processing of your personal data.
7.2. You can delete most content yourself from within the Service (documents, resources, spaces and their student records). To delete your whole account and its data, or to exercise any other right, write to [email protected]. We act on such requests within 30 days.
7.3. We keep your data for as long as your account is active. After an account is closed, its data is deleted within 90 days, except for records we must keep for accounting or legal reasons. Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis within a further 30 days.
8. CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY
8.1. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace this Privacy Policy at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
This Privacy Policy was last updated on September 30, 2026.
